My name is Chris McFee, and I am an editor and proofreader who has transitioned from a 30-year law enforcement career.
This was a natural progression for me due to the significant amount of proofreading and editing my job required. Every document I wrote or reviewed, whether a report, warrant, internal or external correspondence, or training material, had to be precise, clear, and error-free. Over my career, I cultivated an eye for detail and a keen understanding of the importance of meticulous editing and proofreading to the degree that I became a "go-to" person for my peers and superiors.
Now, as a full-time freelance editor, I bring that same rigorous attention to detail to every project I undertake, ensuring that your work will be free from errors and polished to the highest standard.

Pocket FM Project at Proofed
- From Sept. 2022 to Feb. 2023, I was part of a team editing a science fiction story for Pocket FM — an audio app.
- I copy edited scripts translated from Chinese to English. My edits ensured scripts sounded as if they had been written by a native US English speaker.
